I love the Sonicare brand toothbrushes. I had the 5500 model for several years and it died on me. I started using the battery powered brushes, but they just didn't do the awesome job that the Sonicare does. This model is a definite improvement from the older model...from the handle, which fits better into my hand, to the head wich is smaller and helps me to brush my back molars all the better. I was going to go for the cheaper model, the one without the quad placer timer, but I decided that it was worth it to pay more because I wouldn't brush my teeth properly.

For the price, this is a good sonicare. the more expensive are more trim and easier to hold, but they work the same.

This item was a replacement for my original Sonicare. I am more than please with it because it has saved m e a bundle of money. I have problem teeth, and prior to the Sonicare I regularly contributed to the Dentist in a big way. Now all I need to do is 2 cleanings per year. This really works!!!
